Privacy & Online Security at AzzumA.com

AzzumA Privacy Policy

Thank you for shopping at AzzumA.com. We've done our best to ensure the security and privacy of your transaction with us. Rest assured that your credit card information and other personal data will be treated with the highest standards of safety, security features and confidentiality.

AzzumA allows you to pay for purchases online by using your Visa, MasterCard, all American Express credit cards, Discover, Diners Club & JCB credit cards. Because some customers have concerns about providing their credit card numbers over the Internet, we have provided some answers to common questions.

Is it safe to provide my credit card account numbers over the Internet?

It is safe to provide your credit card account number over the Internet at AzzumA.com. All transfer of your payment information, including credit card handling, is done through a secure server using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. This allows your browser to encode any data it sends to our server, so that even if someone intercepted your information as it traveled across the Internet they wouldn't be able to read it.

We have a "server certificate" issued to us by VeriSign, the SSL certificate authority on the Internet. They are a trusted third party authenticator. This certificate verifies that you are really sending your credit card number to us, and not someone pretending to be us. It is standard SSL procedure to get a certificate, usually from VeriSign.

PRIVACY

At AzzumA Fine Imported Lingerie® we are commited to ensuring the privacy of our customers. We do not sell nor exchange names or any other information about our online customers with third parites. We keep confidential any information entered during ordering and while processing your order. AzzumA Fine Imported Lingerie® will not give out your telephone number, physical address or e-mail addresses, except where needed to deliver a product you ordered. We will not give out your credit or debit card number or checking account. We will not give out information that would link your email address with your actual name. We do not give out any information about what you, as an individual, purchases from AzzumA with anyone, except to complete your transactions, or to comply with valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, or in special cases such as a physical threat to you or others.

SECURITY

Protecting your order information is our priority. For your security, orders on our site are encrypted with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology on both the client and server end. SSL encrypts your order information to avoid the decoding of that information by anyone other than AzzumA Fine Imported Lingerie®. Your information sent via the Internet can be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered, to our server only.

CHECKING THE SECURITY OF YOUR CONNECTION

To check the security of your connection, simply look at the URL location window towards the top of your browser: when accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" (hyper text transfer protocol) to "https" (hyper text transfer protocol secure). You can also check by looking at the lower left hand corner of your browser window after accessing the server. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), SSL is active.

The portion of the AzzumA Fine Imported Lingerie® site we've made secure is, not surprisingly, the checkout area. This is where you actually purchase the items you've put into your Shopping Cart. The entire checkout process, from introduction to final confirmation, takes place in a secure environment.

There are several ways to confirm that you're in a secure area. All SSL capable browsers have a symbol to indicate secure mode. Specifically:

Browser Symbol Location Normal (Insecure) mode Symbol Secure Mode Symbol
Netscape 1.2, 2.0 and 3.0 Lower left Broken Key Broken Key Complete Key Complete Key
Netscape Communicator (4.0, 4.7, 4.8, 6.1, 6.2, 7.0 and newer) Lower left Open Lock Open Lock Closed Lock Closed Lock
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 and 6.0 Lower Right NONE Closed Lock Closed Lock
One additional note: some browsers give you a warning when you go from a secure area to a regular area. The aim is worthy enough— to ensure that people know when they've left a secure server. But in practice, the message is often a bit startling, and makes it look like you've done something wrong even though you really haven't.

The VeriSign Secure Site Program allows you to learn more about web sites you visit before you submit any confidential information.

By checking with VeriSign you will be assured that:

  • This site has a VeriSign Secure Server ID.
  • VeriSign has verified the organizational name and that AZZUMA has the proof of right to use it.
  • This site legitimately runs under the auspices of AZZUMA.
  • All information sent to this site, if in an SSL session, is encrypted, protecting against disclosure to third parties.

AzzumA is a proud participant in the
American Express Fraud Protection Program.
